I draw on over 30 years of experience with sitting meditation to help you start a meditation practice or deepen an existing one. The meditation I teach is based on the Zen practice of Shikantaza (the art of just sitting), which was taught to me by late American spiritual teacher Lee Lozowick. It’s a simple practice, but yields powerful results. I can help you get started and coach you through the rough spots.
If you’ve been using one of the popular meditation apps that have flooded the marketplace, I can help you graduate from that into a more traditional silent practice. I think you will discover there’s a world of difference.
I call my coaching “meditation-based” because it is not limited to meditation. Using meditation as a base, we can venture into others areas of life – from creative pursuits, to relationship issues, to uncovering your life path. What we work on from session to session is up to you.
I find that consistent meditation practice creates a fertile ground of self-awareness, which facilitates connecting with your truest wants and needs. Whether you feel stuck, are looking for direction, or know where you want to go but could use a little help getting there, meditation-based coaching aims to bring you clarity and a sense of possibility, as well as the ability to stay still and centered in a fast-paced world.
I offer meditation-based coaching combined with health coaching, or as a stand-alone service.
Life Path Coaching
Life path coaching is a natural extension of meditation-based coaching. I practice deep listening and ask exploratory questions to help you identify your strengths, tap into your innate wisdom, and create a vision aligned with your core values. It’s a fun and enlivening process.
Life path coaching is essentially life coaching with an emphasis on the path that one’s life is taking. Whereas life coaching tends to center around conventional standards of success, such as career goals, life path coaching aims to bring true meaning and direction to one’s life.
Life path coaching can help you:
- Choose a spiritual path (or just a path) aligned with your core values
- Transform your ways of being in the world
- Improve your intimate relationships
- Navigate the dating scene to find a partner who is right for you
- Bring clarity to your decision-making
- Engage challenges with confidence and good cheer

Functional Medicine Health Coaching
As an ADAPT Certified Health Coach, my coaching is informed by functional medicine and ancestral health principles, as taught to me at the Kresser Institute.
I do not diagnose illness or prescribe treatment, but I can guide you in implementing established functional medicine and nutrition-based protocols.
My approach to coaching combines motivational interviewing, positive psychology, and strengths-based strategies to help you initiate lasting lifestyle change.
I can work independently or in collaboration with your healthcare provider to help you meet your wellness goals.
